Ebonite demo day

What can you tell me about the Ebonite Demo Day, I know it costs $20 up front, and they needed my hand specs, the guy who signed me up said there will be 6 balls there for me to throw. Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure which balls your local Ebonite Rep will have, but I can speak to the Demo day happenings since we had a Hammer Demo a while back at our shop.

All the balls are pre-drilled with various spans that go up to 5" and come in 1/8" increments.  The finger holes are drilled downsized so the grips will hold in the finger holes without any glue.  Your thumb is a predrilled threaded insert that comes in a various round sizes and 3 standard reverse pitches.  Basically you will be able to get a ball that you can throw and should be close to your current ball, but not exact.  I equate it to throwing a buddy's ball that kind of fits your hand.

I had a blast running one with my boss and the rest of the pro shop staff...it was even better being able to get out on the lanes.  We are going to have an Ebonite Demo in September I think and I'm REALLY looking forward to that and trying out some of their newer offerings.

It cost here $15(NYC). I've done 4 demo days and its a great opportunity the throw up to 6 different balls for an hour with help from the ball reps. You should have a great time. Ask all the questions you can think of that will help your game and understand the equipment your testing and possibly your own.

I have a question. On the Ebonite web site Illinois and Indiana are not even listed. Does that mean that Ebonite never puts on a Demo in those states? I would love to attend one of their events but WTF? Any ideas?

It means they don't have one scheduled in those states as of right now.  Check back again in a couple of months.

I maybe WRONG on this .. but from what I've read it's up to the local PRO SHOP to create these DEMO DAYS! I've been to TWO .. I think they are the greatest. Price VARIES .. based on HOW MUCH your pro shop wants to MAKE! From what I hear!

Just had Ebonite Demo Day yesterday in Athens, Texas, 7/25/2004 and yes it is up to the local pro shop guy to NORMALLY set up the demo and it's perameters. In our case, there was no charge up front but there was plenty made on the sales/drillings of new balls that were demo'd. Ours lasted from 11am to 6pm and yes it is a blast. We had Hammer one weekend and Ebonite the next. Same rep/company just different balls brought in. I personally like the Hammer stuff better but that's my opinion. Thanks.

John S--I live in Indiana, not too far from lake station about 30 minutes.  The pro shop would be located inside Rays Lanes.  I have heard great things about this pro shop but have never been there.  I too would also love to go to a demo day so John if you find out let me know bro please!
