Ebonite Magnum Crack - Will it get worse?
« on: March 23, 2008, 02:15:14 AM »
Cheap plastic is cheap plastic I know, but I just had my girlfriends Ebonite
Magnum crack an inch on each side over the thumb hole in a parallel angle.

It is a small, hairline crack that goes down 1/8th into the thumb how and stops.

Will this gradually get worse?

Should she use it till it is too far gone, or just grab another today?

Thanks!

i think its good to get a replacement for safety reason. you wouldnt want it to crack while she's rolling it, or somewhere in the pin deck.

i had a similiar case, a track freak a zoid which i am still using, i rolled one shot, came back and the coverstock near the fingers had a slight crack. Patched it up, and rolled for a few weeks before needing to redrill my thumb slug yesterday. Just to realized my filler inside has cracked, but still redrilled a thumb slug and using it for practice or fun bowling.
