suggestions for a new ball
« on: January 29, 2007, 01:33:04 AM »
Hey Group,
While at practice the other day my friend Dennis comes up to me and asks me for my opinion on what new ball would be good for him.

So I blasted off a couple of Ebonites new ones and also a couple of new Hammer ones, but after some thought I realized that I better come in here and ask for some needed input.

My friend Dennis is a very, very, good bowler, he's around a 208 avg. and for the last 6 to 9 months or so he has been throwing a Columbia "Action Packed" but what he tells me is that he needs/wants something that is more aggressive and coming from him that means a ball that he can kinda swing it in some med to heavy oil as his ball now "doesn't make the turn" [that was his comment]

Heres the catch as to why it might be a little tricky for him. He is nick-named "The Machine" due to his Earl Anthony like approach, he is very slow and meticulous during his delivery, at least thats how I would describe it.

I do not know his PAP but here is what I do know about him:

  1) He has incredibly slow ball speed.
  2) He has incredibly low revs.
  3) He always plays straight up the 10 board (or around there).
  4) He uses his "Action Packed" even for his ten pins shots and he is freaking
     accurate!!
  5) He's not a big guy, I would say around 5'7" and on the thin side (meaning
     not a power player)

I know its hard as heck doing something like this but it should still be kinda fun anyway.  I was thinking about an 'RXS300' or my beloved 'Infinite One'

so any suggetions???
