NVS pricing?
« on: February 08, 2008, 09:09:27 AM »
I thought Ebonite raised prices to prevent on-line shops from undercutting the local shops?

NVS for $115-120 shipped at some places, but $160 at Buddies.  Are they dropping prices to compete with the Cell?

I too noticed the price drop, i wonder if it these sales, or price drops, whatever they are have occurred due to the Complete NV's release and the lack of want for the NVS?

Maybe this is an opportunity to dump off stock because its no longer the "new" high end ball.

This is just my thoughts on the subject though...

Ebonite announced that as of Feb, the NVS, Total NV, and a couple other balls were no longer under their new price structure.

The biggest problem Ebonite has, is how to get rid of the VS series. Most are a piece of junk. I've been trying to sell a new NVS for a while for $50.00. The folks that have "borrowed" it for a league session, just bring it back

Do you mean NV series?

...and, how do you borrow a new ball?  I'll buy a new NVS for $50.

Yea the TNV really hit it off here at our center but the ball flat out sucks in my opinion, none of them move, maybe its the driller making them weak or our house but I heard the NVS was a junk ball anyways and people had problems with them and they look like they will overlap with the TNV. the CNV looks cool but just another version of the TNV in my opinion.

As a pro shop,  i can see why the NVS has been closed out.

To me,  most customer's who came in and asked about a NVS,  thought it was a oil monster.  We would then have to tell them, "not in this lifetime".

I have heard and seen many bowlers using the NVS in too much oil,  and dying with it!!!!

Last week one of the customer's that i sold an NVS too,  for lighter oil patterns!!!  made a comment to me,  that just about everyone in his wed. nite league, that had a NVS,  stopped using it.   Why?  they were trying to use the ball in too much oil.

Sometimes ball companies make a ball out to be such a hook monster,  that the public, actully believes it.  And when they try to use a highly polished ball on fresh oil,  well the results are not good.

Now the NVS is a great ball>>> when used on the right shot!!!!

Hopefully the new Complete NV will be used on the right shot!!!

I had a Total NV and loved it.  It cracked and I got an NVS in return.  It really didn't hook at all.

Hit is softly with a 1000 abralon pad on slow speed, and that thing just flat out hooks.

I have even used it on Shark and scored well with it.  Once it gets past the oil it just makes a strong move to the pocket
