Hi I have been using the Ebonite Tiger ball for almost 4 years now. It has a lot of games on it. I am hoping to upgrade or look for a good second ball choice. I bowl on synthetic lanes with a medium oil pattern. I bowl two back to back leagues one night and every other week another league. I have been averaging 180+ since using the Tiger. I usually bowl over the second arrow, go long and then have a nice arc to the pocket. It seems lately as the night goes on the Tiger takes off and must hit really hard in the pocket as I will leave a dumb split like the 8-10 on what appears to look like a pocket hit. I would appreciate any input or Tiger users on what they think about a new ball choice. I bowl medium speed for a female and would say have low to medium rev rate on the ball. Thanks Meg

Meg,
If you are happy with what teh iger is dloing for you then I suggest you follow Phatdon's advice and look into the ShowTimes. They utilize the same core as the Tiger but have an updated coverstock.
If you are looking for a little more reaction, look into the PrimeTimes series. The core shape is different and you get a particle instead of resin coverstock but I still think it would be an option if you want more reaction. The core/ coverstock should provide a bit earlier roll and more hook in the wet stuff if that's what you want.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with !

There is an upgrade to the Tiger?
I bet your ball is either oil logged or that the surface has gotten too dull leading to lack of energy at the pocket.
8 -10 s are often a result of roll out. This can easily happen as one bowls a pearl ball starts to gravitate to 600 grit over time due to friction with the lane.
A rejuvination and resurface may make you think that Tiger is brand new.
Otherwise like said the Showtime pearl is new and available at a proshop near you!

I used a Tiger also and loved the ball but put allot of games on it, so i got a predator sparkle. If you are looking for like specs the Tiger you want to go with the V2 sweet. I have been researching this myself.

Hi Sheppy and others
The V2 Sweet is actually the ball I have been looking at too. I know what the Tiger can do but hope to maybe improve my average by going to a stronger ball. I know I can always fall back on this good old ball, the center owner agrees that he feels I would be disappointed if I did not try a more aggressive type ball. I would love to hear from Sweet owners to see how they like this ball. Thanks for the quick responses everyone. Hoping to raise my average. Meg

It seems like every one has the same problems.. can't find a replacement for the Tiger and (in my case) the Pantera.
Wouldn't the V2 sweet be a bit weaker in hook potential than the Tiger..??
