Replacement for Sanded Predator
« on: December 08, 2004, 12:05:42 PM »
I have a red predator, leverage drilling, that I use for heavy oil.  Absolutely love(d) the ball.  Unfortunately it is pretty much dead and needs to be replaced.  I've noticed the Prime Time Sanded, V2 Strong and Xcel (although a little more expensive).  Any suggestions or opinions on any of these, particularily in comparison to the predator?

if u wanted to stay in the ebonite line, i'd go with the prime time sanded......  or primal instinct  both very nice rolling balls from what i have seen....  if u were looking at other lines i would go with either the warp zone from big b or the flash flood from storm

i had a red predator, drilled label leverage, but i didn't use it for heavy oil, but i used it on hev-med. i have just replace it with a show time sanded, the red predator was a VERY hard ball to replace, i got the showtime drilled stacked leverage, i like the showtime very much, just as good as the predator BUT not as much hook, but still saying that the showtime hook quite a bit!!

hope that helped

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would like to stay with particle...I just don't think that I can get the same type of reaction from a reactive ball.

I believe the Prime Time Sanded is a light-load particle.  Which is why I was also considering that one.  As well as the V2 Strong.

Although I love Ebonite, I was also looking at other manufacturers and the Flash Flood was one that caught my eye.  But I'm skeptical that I could get anything from Storm that would roll as strong up front as Ebonite particles.  I also was looking at the Alter Ego (Columbia) and Mayhem (MoRich...again, not cheap).  But I've never thrown an asymmetrical and don't really know much about them.

Thanks again.
