Ebonite/Hammer Question
« on: April 06, 2007, 08:53:54 AM »
I am currently in transition to going all Ebonite/Hammer and I was wondering what you guys thought would be the best ball for oiler conditions.  I am getting rid of all the Columbia and D/T stuff I have, even though with the recent buyout I don't really have to.  I just shot my first honor score with the RXS300 (299) and have shot 700+ the last three league nights.  For a guy with only three years of bowling experience and who carries a 200 average, I must say that I have found the company that works for me.  Between these two, which ball would be the the best compliment for oil conditions?

Of the current line I would say the infinite one. This ball handles oil very well

Absolute One is not coming out.  It's an oversea ball

Balls I've had personal experiences with:

Infinite One -  OOB finish.
Big One - sanded to 1200/2000 -  depending on the pattern

Vicious (hammer)Might need to be sanded a bit.

More important is to talk to you pro shop guy.  COrrect ball purchase (ex lower top wt, shorter pin etc.) + correct layout + matching surface and you should be competitive.
