For "true" dry lanes, the Tornado Warning is awesome. I have a guy that bowls with me that has a 300-350 rev rate and only has a 12 - 14 mph ball speed. On a THS, he is able to play up 10-12 and keeps the ball in play. He has a Thunderstruck Pearl and a Pyro and has a hard time with ball control and leaving splits every few frames. For someone with a little faster ball speed, such as yourself, the TW would work beautifully. It has a pancake weight block, but a resin cover. I have drilled several of these for those with slower ball speeds that wanted hook and yet get the ball down the lane to keep it from hooking too soon. PLUS......on shorter patterns, there is only the coverstock to create ball reaction. You will not have to worry about a core revving too quick or releasing too much energy off the dry boards. Last but not least, the price tag is very reasonable ($80-90 retail).
