From what I have gathered.. the mission is not a true heavy oil ball.. although a rather impressive med-med heavy ball depending on your rev rate. The invasion on the other hand, will handle the heavy stuff, just put a medium aggressive drilling on it and maybe take it down to 2000 for a pattern that heavy. I have no problem with mine so far.. I will see what it does this weekend on a tournament shot. The mission is a different breed if you need a medium ball from what I have been seeing. The invasion has a roll I have never seen in a heavy oil ball, looks like its digging into the lane before it sets up... I am thinking these would make a good 1-2 combo.

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag..A Reign of Fire, an Invasion, a Nasty Spider, and a green Avalanche.. how can I lose....

I know you are looking at the mission & Invasion, but I would take a serious look at the Total Bedlam, i just love this ball on the shark

I thought on drilling both but i was afraid that the mission will be too much of a ball for a medium pattern and i dont want to have such a small gap between my heavy oil and meidum oil ball

I have no problem with the Mission as a oil ball... Even though it is called a pearl, the OOB finish is at a 2000 A-Pad... "Plenty strong for oil".  sounds like an Indian talking...

The Invasion comes OOB at 4000... And in some, not all cases,  needs to be taken down to 2000 for heavy oil....

Two other balls that are a beast in oil, are the Reign of Fire and the C-System 3.5...<<< I must say, I was a little shock how the C-System needs oil...

In most cases we bring the ROF up to 2000...  And so far the C-System at 4000 OOB is working just fine....

Hey, that's "Native American" pal.

Now as for the Total Bedlam,   After what Barnes did,  sad very sad...

Actually, it was the Pure Swing that wasn't coming back for him on the right lane in the early goings of the finals.  The Total Bedlam had no problems hooking...It actually hooked a bit too much from what I saw.

Don't over look the ROF for heavy long. Love mine the strongest mid lane and backend of any solid i've used in long time including (VG, VE, Mutant). This ball has way more continuation than my mutant that is drilled 4x4x2.

Correct me if I'm wrong,  but wasn't the first shot he throw with the Total
Bedlam???

The famous "wow" shot....

Looks to me like he used the Pure Swing to start the match.  Plus, you hear "Ball change for Barnes..." right before his shot in the 2nd frame.

A pin down drilling... pin 4" to pap with a 2" buffer..  MB kicked out 3" right of thumb.... Bal. Hole, "if"  1 1/2" down on VAL...

After watching that video, when Barnes throws it sounds like he's clipping a hole as the ball rolls down the lane.  Is that actually what's happening, or am I hearing things?  If that is what's happening, does he always do that?

I believe that's the ball rolling over the labels and the sensative mics picking it up. I think it gets explained later in the telecast by Randy.

rof is a good looking ball my team mate shot 805 with his this past wed. and he struck from every where. The further right he thru it the harder it came back, when he missed in it held. He needed 274 for the 800 and the ball looked like it was on remote control. I got a mission and a mutant and his rof looked like it was 10 boards stronger than the mutant, plus he used it all three games, had to bad the mutant after the first game, rof just got stronger. Didnt throw the mission cause i just dont trust it yet.

Your right,  but didn't Barnes use the TB in practice, and didn't Barnes use the MS in practice against WR...Then in both cases switch to the PS

You seeing a pattern here,,,

If so,  it didn't work, and actually may have screw his own shot...
