Ebonite Don Carter Gold

I picked up a bowling ball for free at some yard sale somewhere...

It's entirely black except for the name and stuff on top. It's made by Ebonite and also has "Don Carter GOLD Ebonite." It's drilled lefty and has "SKID" etched on top. I was wondering if it's worth it to get it re-drilled.

nm, contacted Ebonite tech support, gave me this:

This ball is from the late 60's to early 70's.  It's made of rubber and not very strong any longer.  It would have the same characteristics as all those black bowling balls the bowling center's have on the racks.
 
Since the core is made of a cork like material, plugging and redrilling could be a waste of time since the core dries out over time.  I would take a pass.
