Title: First Impression, Mission
Post by: bighook69 on February 13, 2010, 09:44:24 AM
Ok, so I got my Mission today, drilled it pin above ring ringer (sarge easter grip) which was about 4" away from my PAP. Put the MB out right of the thumb. Only got to throw it a little today as the lanes were pretty dry to the outside. The mission showed great potential in oil, had a lot of movement in the backend and finished great, only issue I was having was with the drier outsides I would experience roll out if the ball got into the dry too soon. I will update tomorrow with my findings on a heavier shot. As well as post pics of it and a short video.

I have a feeling adding a bit of polish would've helped it push through the dry outsides.  Sounds like a winner to me though.

I totally agree, it was very aggressive when it was in the oil, however on this particular shot I couldn't move in deep enough to keep it in the oil and keep it off the face. Thankfully this was a local tournament shot, and not my house shot nor what I usually see, it was much more wet/dry. I will be heading out later today and throwing it on much heavier stuff, and will see how it does.

I have shot great numbers and won several pot games with my mission.  The first
day I punched it up.  However due to the dry nature of most of the houses in this area I did have to polish it up. "The ball is WONDERFUL" So good I punched number two Saturday.  I however took number one back to 4000 no polish just to see what it would do.  The ball is still too strong for the two houses I generally bowl. in
I will polish both Missions ASAP.

Mission 1 pin above fingers in the bridge mass bias swung 45 no whole.
Mission 2 pin above ring finger mass 45 with a weight whole on the axis.

I simply love my missions.

OK! Got to throw the Mission on some oil today... GREAT ball! Usually I have to play up the lanes at this center, and really no one see's a lot of hook... it just doesn't happen (they rarely strip the lanes, and just oil over). With the Mission I was actually able to open the lane up and feed the ball out to the right and it would fly back! Great ball for clean backends IMO. Only got 2 games in... 242, 245... not too bad when I am still breakin it in!
