Yesterday, while bowling practice with my best friend in bowling I had a chance to get my first 800 set and a darn 9 pin stoned clanged all that!!

 

We had been bowling for a while and after the 6th game I asked my friend if he'd let me try his mission 2.0 ball.  I haven't thrown one except at a demo and it sucked majorly for me so I really didn't want to ever try another.  But this day I had already thrown a game with every ball I brought and thought to ask.  Of coarse he said yes.  I stood on 20 on the approach and aimed for the 5 board down lane and left 3 pins.  Easy spare but after that all I was doing was striking.  I shot 290!  For the next game I stayed in the same spot and again another 290 game!!  I have had 300's before but never had I shot two back to back very high games so shooting these 290 games back to back, well I was starting to get shakey.  I was trying to figure out what was going on.  This ball just strikes and strikes.  Well after realizing I just shot a 580 in two games did I realize that I could shoot my first 800.  Starting the third game my nerves caught up to me and I just didn't throw the mission ball well.  At the 4th frame I switched over to a emerald vibe and stayed in the same area I was with the mission 2.0.  I ended up needing the first strike in the 10th to get my 800 and that's when I went hard pocket shot and left the stone 9 pin.   I'm a high rev, high speed lefty bowler, the ball it's self should have hit that pin.  

Anyway I ended up shooting 784 witch is my current high set but still that 9 pin will haunt me.    I know this is a long post but I just wanted to share my best day of bowling ever in my 9 year bowling career with my ball review family.   Funny thing is my friend is a right handed bowler and I'm a lefty.  His Mission 2.0 I used was drilled for a righty.   Anyone have a Mission 2.0 they want to get rid of??

I didn't know we were a "ball review family".  Sure "ain't" feel like a family in the non bowling section.....this guy shows up too often -->

Well this was not the reply I was expecting.  These games were not picked out at random between all the games, They were bowled back to back in a three game set.  That's how I practice.  I do three games then break, then three more and so on.  Also by the way after all 9 games I averaged 221!  

I do consider ball reviews like a family, most of us all get along and 99% of everyone here is very trustworthy.
