I'm looking into a smoother rolling ball that I can use on a heavier modified house shot and PBA patterns (Shark for example), and the Gamebreaker looks good. How does this ball do on the PBA shots and house shots, and do you think I could drill one Gamebreaker for use on BOTH house and PBA?
I have average revs (I never counted them) and throw from 14-16 mph.

The Gamebreaker is a great ball, but it rolls early. Even though it has good continuation, it will poop out on a shorter pattern with a slow ball speed. For use on shark or a house shot on the longer or heavier side:great! You wont have to rob a bank to buy it either.

This ball does not live up to its hype. It doesn't hook as much as they say it does. My Rival drilled weaker hooks more and carries alot better. Most of the bowlers I spoke to with this ball have the same comment which is that this ball doesn't hook enough on oil and doesn't carry well. Eventhough this ball is cheaper than most high end ball it's still not worth the money. I rather spend the extra money and buy the Resurgence which I did. It hooks atleast 7-10 boards more than the Gamebreaker and carries much much better. Good luck.

The Gamebreaker is exactly what your looking for. One of the smoothest most consistant rolling balls I've ever thrown, regardelss of the pattern. Let it get some oil in the cover and it will get even better.

Okay, Micbowl - When the suggestion was made that I should get the Gamebreaker, my gut reaction was that it could be too weak, but that it not my belief now. I was thinking about the Resurgence, but I'm feeling that it will be too strong on heavier house. I also have not seen one thrown myself, and I'm not sure how "smooth" it is.
This is why I post these things. It's always good to have a second opinion, especially on a thing like this; I can't afford to buy a ball that just doesn't work for me.

If you were thinking of the Resergence, then I would go with that. I have not been disapointed in that ball using it in medium to heavy oil.

Well VRT, are you saying your Resurgence doesn't roll out on house shots? Is it smooth? What's your speed & rev rate? How's the ball drilled? What type of surface is on it?
Is it worth my time changing the drilling, surface, etc. on my new Resurgence just to make it work?

Surface is out of box, pin is next to ring finger 3 3/8 from PAP, speed is anywhere from 17 to 21 mph, depends on the condition and rev rate is average. Never counted my rev rate but seems like I have enough. as for THS I can swing it more and play pretty deep and when it's heavy oil I can play more straight up. To me it's a very smooth ball and def needs oil...
