I actually detest my Gamebreaker 2 MVP.  Mine is drilled pin up with CG about 2 inches right of grip center.  OOB finish.  I have yet to find a condition this thing likes.  It hates carrydown, isn't very friendly on a medium THS, and is hyper sensitive to ball speed [not very forgiving.]

For me, it would probably be better on lighter oil.  If my center ever reduces the volume of oil they use I may dig it out of the basement and try it again.

Almost everything you say seems to indicate that a pin-up drilling (too small a VAL angle) is inappropriate your release and the oil amount you're bowling on. Have you considered re-drilling (pin down or larger VAL angle) or, at least, trying some surface on it (maybe 2000 grit)?

The layout on the ball is one of my go-to layouts.  I have the same layout on numerous other balls with varying surface preps and have none of the issues I have with the GB2MVP.  Maybe one of these days I will mess with it and tweak the surface.  I lost patience with it when I started noticing that if my ball speed at the pins varied by 0.20 mph I was getting a totally different reaction.  If ball speed was 15.7mph the ball reacted as expected.  Speed drops to 15.5mph and it was high.  15.9mph and it was light.  Consistency is the key in bowling, but a 0.20mph variance in ball speed shouldn't result in such drastic reaction differences, especially on a house shot. 

Next time I have an extended practice session at the lanes I will grab it and my siaair pads and see what different surfaces result in.

Mine has similar hook potential to my legion solid.  It's drilled 5 1/2" pin up w/o a weight hole and I have it a 2000.  My legion solid is 5" pin down so it's really smooth.  My mvp is probably 2-3 stronger with my feet and a few more boards on the backend than the legion solid.  If they were drilled the same I would say they are pretty close.  Maybe the legion solid being a touch more angular from seeing other guys use it.  My mvp is best when I'm playing the track.  It's a little too smooth to get really deep and go around the pattern where balls like the warrior would be better.
