Strange track on my Raid
« on: July 21, 2007, 12:20:36 PM »
Wanted to share some pics of my Raid.  It is layed out with TJ trick layout, where the bomb is above the thumb, and the pin an 1 inch from my val.  I also have pics of another one of my high pin balls with the track out lined.  I can't wait to see what the tech guys have to say about it!

I must say.. wow! What is Ebonite doing to their balls? They release the GameBreaker with a wrong logo on some, and what's up with this ball? The core messed up? Lol. Pretty weird, i'd like to see what people say as well! Wow..

Ball rolls great, and hits like a ton of bricks.  I am happy with the ball. Just looking to see if any other ball I layout like this again.

Looks like the ball is reverse flaring. Maybe the pin is past your VAL, are you confident of your axis measurements?

The problem is with the TJ layout ...

I have a Black Widow solid and my buddy has a TNV and a Widow Pearl with the TJ Layout and they both track UNDER the thumb, horizontal.

The reason they track under for us is because we are high trackers....

I'm guessing your a med-low tracker ?....If so, thats your problem

All I can say is I am happy that it does not rumble. Rolls like a champ on wet dry patterns.

i got into trouble using a "different type" layout on my raid. I drilled it w/the pin above the fingers, and the cg between them. mb above the thumb, but under the middle of my grip. put the needed hole in the upper quadrant, pretty much above the finger holes. i've done this layout before on numerous bowling balls that rolled well, and didn't get close to hitting anything, i hit the thumb and weight hole on this. its fully plugged now and i'm trying to sell it. agree that the ball hits like a truck, but mine didn't flare like my other stuff either.
