The one pearl Vs Cell pearl
« on: February 23, 2009, 02:15:24 AM »
Thinking about drilling up the one pearl...already have a cell pearl and am just curious as to how it compares. Currently ive got a pearlized NVD, a magic, and that cell pearl..trying to finish off my arsenal.

anybody know how it compares?

Should prove to be more angular and later then the cell pearl. The one pearl/hot sauce should be what you are looking for if you would like to open up the lanes and free will it a little more. Personally I would look at the hot sauce, as its going to go longer then anything you have in your bag, and then recover out of the wazoo. It should be about 3-5 boards stronger then the cell pearl on the backend.

Also how are you liking the magic.. It is my money ball right now.

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...some magic, some hot sauce, and a saw.. how can I loose?

Hmm...I struggle to open up the lanes with the cell pearl honestly. I was looking for something I could still hook a decent amount as I dont have to play straight with it, really dont want a hot sauce being everyone and there grandmother has one, so I was considering the one pearl.

HAve yet to throw my magic! lol in the next few days ill give a report if its anything like this nvd I have, ill be happy with it

The One Pearl is a good ball for what you want I would suggest knocking off the initial polish and having it re done.  It will be cover more boards than the CP.

I took mine to 2,000 and then factory polish and opened the lane up much more than my Cell Pearl.

Try it first, if you don't like the reaction then change it. You can always go back to oob condition if you want to.

im basically gonna be trying to get as many boards out of this ball as I can, I tend to throw it hard so I need it to hook as much as possible so I can open the lane up

you have some good equipment, except its all pretty similar and very hooky.  that one pearl will be so close to your magic and cell pearl unless you do a diff drilling on it.  what are you trying to get out of this ball?  are you looking for more reaction?

If you have that much speed on it I would drill it up a little stronger and take it down to 2,000 but make sure you put factory polish back on it as not all polishes are the same.

And not all factory finish polish is the same.  I have received two very different "factory finish" polishes from Ebonite over the last year.  One was a blue collar that stained EVERYTHING it touched (including hands and clothes) and one was white.
