The One Pearl First Impression
« on: December 16, 2008, 02:22:24 PM »
I drilled my one pearl tonight with the pin 3 3/4 x 70 X 30.I compared it to my complete nv.Its cleaner through the fronts and alot stronger on the backend.
The pearl really comes off the spot really nice and i was amazed how clean it was through the fronts. This was a piece that i feel we were missing. The ball looks really awesome.Guys be looking out for this new gem on January 6 at your local proshop.

Sounds good i would like to hear a fair take from you on the Striking Motion ???

I was thinking about a Pin Slasher but have one coming from Britton now used and The One Pearl sounds interesting to me.

Remember guys its all about matching up layouts to your ev rate, ball speed and axis tilt.I had a customer that didn't like the demo ball ,but when we drilled him one he loves this ball. The striking motion is a ball that works better on shorter patterns or when you have clean backends.Sometimes you might not match up to a ball but other people might love it.

I undersatnd all that about drilling and stuff but like i said same result for everyone who tryed it that night. We had 1 lane fresh shot and 1 BROKEN DOWN LANE. ball just never broke just rolled out. Ball just couldnt finish. Same problem with the pin slasher. Only balls we like were playmaker. NVD and the one pearl

I did figure out the SM problem was too much ball surface, I was actually gritting down when it was polishing that solved my issues.

It is alot like a Venom now that I own with same exact drilling on it, the Venom is at 2k abby no polish. They are honestly like twins now good league shot balls, shot 279 with the Venom on one lane and a Grand Illusion on another lane last week.

The SM is going to be one of the most misunderstood balls since the HPH or Chao's back in the day, it needs less surface to retain energy or it is pure junk.
