I never owned an original Gamebreaker, but all the things I heard were great about the ball. I was told that the ball was a problem solver. if you couldn't figure out how to play the lanes or what ball you should go to next......picking up a Gamebreaker automatically solved all issues that you had! That being said, when they came out with this GB2 Remake, I had to get one.
My ball is 14lbs 2oz. with a 2.5" pin and 3.2oz of top weight. Surface prep is 500-2000 grit siaair. My PAP is 3.5"> and .5" up. 2.517RG and .048 Diff
I knew that the original GB had the lowest RG on a ball ever made, so considering all that I figured this ball would probably be very strong as they'd try to duplicate the reaction one got from the original.
I was right too, so I had mine drilled pin down, 70x5x30. I wanted the backend to be as smooth as possible and not too violent.
This ball is a MONSTER! This damn thing recovers from anywhere in medium oil, no matter how far I project it. It flat out HOOKS! All that hook and yet, it is still quite smooth. This surprised me very much.
I've thrown it twice now on our THS. I bowl in a Bowlero house which has a ton of built in friction all throughout the lanes. I have a ton of miss room right (right-handed) and a little miss room if I tug it.
My first two times using this ball were 687(224-253-210) and a 655(209-256-190). I am very impressed with this piece. It is a hard hooking ball but it is very predictable and continuous! As seen in both sets it will let you know when its time to put it up. Carry goes away and you suddenly start leaving corners. Regardless this ball rolls up hard and hits with authority.
Don't know if this mimics the original but I do know this ball is a keeper! Good job Ebonite. I just added another weapon to my arsenal
