Great ball!  Will be keeping this in my own arsenal.

Who else has got this?  Thoughts?

Considering it! How would you compare it to the Dare Devil? Both being low RG cores with strong pearl covers.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

We tested them both but didn't have a direct comparison.  However, I would they are close with the Phenom Pearl being a bit more rolly piece.

I just have to say.

This... THIS is what I consider a great ball review. You went into serious detail as to why you reviewed this ball, more details about the ball, why you like this ball, comparison to what you would consider the benchmark and what it would compliment, and showed missed/errant shots (and the obvious reasons why they were missed).

If anything, the only other thing that others would request would be the pattern tested on, and if you could test it on other patterns. But outside of that, this is a great review, and to be honest, you validated why I punched up the MVP, as that is the ball I use for the benchmark.

Thanks so much.  This is what we strive for.  It's always going to be tricky to meet everyone's expectations.  We do our best but getting all the equipment and testing on multiple patterns at our own expense is difficult.  But it's fun to do it and we'll do it as long as we can afford it :-)

 COMMENTS

The GB11.2 pearl cover is noticeably stronger than the version of the pearl 10.7 that was used in the GB2 Gold.  For me, this ball is excellent for medium to lighter oil patterns or patterns where there is some free hook.  It revs up nicely off my hand, but gets through the fronts cleanly.  It picks up late in the midlane, but has good traction there for a pearl cover.  The ball makes a strong arcing motion in the back end with great carry.  It’s an excellent complement to the original Phenom and can be a good ball to switch to if the original begins to burn up.  This is a great league ball for bowlers of all styles and should be usable for all three games.  GB2 lovers will definitely want to give this one a try. Great performance for the money with the Phenom Pearl.
