i noticed in the march issue of bowlers journal international that brian purcell had left ebonite international. too bad, as he's a class act and his shoes will be hard to fill. good luck brian !

my respect for brian purcell really came out of nowhere. he e-mailed me out of the blue after seeing some of my opinions/posts on this website. since he's no longer employed by ebonite i can say this. he saw my loyalty/admiration/enthusiasm to brunswick bowling equipment and my opinions on ball maintenence, etc. and told me not to back down. he told me that bowling needs people like this. he knew i didn't use ebonite equipment and that was okay with him. i've never met the man but if i had the chance i'd really look forward to it.

Brian Graham was/may still be in charge of college bowling (maybe til after IBCs?) and he seems like a class act to me.  Never heard a bad thing said about him, college bowling has seemed to prosper under him and hopefully Hammer will continue to prosper under him as well.  Seeing Mr. Gallagher associated with the Ebonite name intrigues me.  Ebonite has disappointed me with some of their products (specifically the TPC Warrior and the V2, yes, i'm one of the 3 people in America that didn't like the V2) but maybe under some new leadership we'll see a "different" company?  It'll be interesting to see what the new releases under the Gallagher/Graham era bring into the company.
