Title: Great Information on the Total NV
Post by: Jeff Ussery on January 15, 2007, 02:36:29 AM
Wanted everyone to know that the new info on the Total NV is now up on the Ebonite website.  Enjoy, and maybe I'll see you at a seminar on the west coast!

Not that I'm aware of.  Make sure to come to a sneak peak if you can make it!

My shops owner just called me from his way back from a sneak peak...

...he's bringing back a video that they gave him, wonder if it's different than the one online?

That core concept is interesting. Would you be able to drill the Total NV as a symmetrical if you turn it to its side, or were they just showing that they'll make it a symmetrical core in a later ball?

Ron Hickland mentioned the Total NV and NV. My question is when did the NV ever even come out???

Neither ball is on the site. Did i miss a release or something?

I don't think the NV is being released to the public. I remember someone saying that the NV will be given away to those who attend some seminar, but the Total NV was the one going on the market.

The NV is a very limited edition ball that they are trying to make more exclusive.  I was told that folks that attended the Sneak Peaks could purchase NV's but they would have to purchase a bulk order not just a case or so...

...not sure of the price break out either.

Looks like another fun product (unfortunately I would need a 16,000 grit abralon pad or my home house to actually put some oil out to ever be able to throw it)...
I'm wondering where the 5 5/8" distance from the mass bias to the VAL came from in the "trick layout" section?  I'm assuming it has something to do with the 90 degree layout and the pin being 1" from the VAL...but it was just sort of thrown out there.

I"m surpriced they say you need a high mass bias ball for the trick layout, then they go play the MB left of the thumb.

Yeah..my thoughts as well.  Even with their shipping fees, its still not a bad price...  I wonder if it is a pre-order sale price and will increase once they become available?

I was talking about the NV Ron Hickland said that the NV will be hard to find for LESS then 200 dollars. The total NV at the Sneek Peak you could have got them for 102 something. But, the NV is different he said the ball will not go for sale and they have a limited amount.

Ahh my bad.  I wasn't even aware the NV existed until I watched the comparison video... thought maybe they were going to be released at the same time...  so the NV was sort of a test or promotional ball?

I was at a sneak peak yesterday.  The NV is a "promotional ball" only available to those proshops who:  a) attended the sneak peak, b) bought a quantity amount of Total NVs, at which point Ebonite will ship an NV direct as part of that deal.  As of now 288 will be produced.  They have been offered to PBA touring pros at $200.
As far as what the ball will do, is designed to do, think of this as Ebonite's epoxy ball.  It will be extremely smooth, hook on anything anywhere ball.  It even  feels like epoxy to the touch.  Eddie Gallagher stated that each ball comes with a survey to be returned to Ebonite.  If the results are favorable they will mass produce them.

The NV ball is reactive as Ed Gallagher said in the seminar, it even says reactive on the ball, no need to compare it to epoxy.  The ball is a big hooking smooth ball, where as the Total NV is more of a skid flip type of ball. These balls are gonna be real winners.

Just comparing it in ball reaction shape.  Agree, it will be a home run for Ebonite...

Did I miss something?
I can't find info on the Total NV on the website...
When I was in Medford, Kelly K. told me that she thought it would be a good ball for me. I'm anxious to find out what I can!

I'll be teaching the seminar tomorrow at Vancouver, WA.  The seminars a total bargain and a no-brainer if you can make it.  I STRONGLY recommend attending one if you get the chance.

I'll also be teaching at Sacramento and Fremont, CA next week.  Hope to see some of you there!

I really like the look that I saw from the Total NV...great looking ball that really revs up and make a sharp move.  I just can't believe how fast the ball absorbs oil and breaks down a shot.  We where able to burn a line in about 15-20 shots.

The NV is a good looking ball as well, but I didn't get to see my shop's owner throw his.

Yeah, weather has been an issue here in the northwest as well.  But it hasn't been so bad that we've had to cancel.  Hopefully they'll make up in Dallas or you can make it to a different sneak peak location.  Bowl to win!

Nope, its not getting re-scheduled here in Dallas and no other ones are close enough to justify going. I was really looking forward to hearing what Ron had to say about the Total NV and the NV..

We get 2 maybe 3 bad weather days per year and it has to happen today!! Rats!!
