Total NV- so far...................
« on: January 23, 2007, 11:40:19 PM »
Well here's my results so far with the Total NV. Mine's drilled pin right of ring, cg stacked, weight hole right of cg, mb right of thumb, and down slightly. I'm not sure of my PAP measurements.

At 4000 OOB, the ball went really long, and had a hard time checking up and moving to the pocket. My driller and I thought with my speed being a factor, this surface would be weak.-no X-hole yet.

Second, we went down to 500, then up to 2000 wet sand, no polish. This really did what Ebonite says on the drill sheet. It hooked earlier, and the arcing motion even changed. With my speed, this made the ball really sensitive, but would still have a good reaction.-no X-hole yet.

Lastly, we put the X-hole right of the cg, to try to increase backend reaction. This did start to bring the backend reaction around, but I'll know more on my next league shot, with fresh oil.

I think this ball has a ton of potential, it's just a matter of tweaking the surface to the right condition now.

Yeah I tossed this ball a few times the other day and was VERY impressed (which says alot considering I'm not a big Ebonite fan). This ball was drilled Pin over middle, mb 2" right of thumb, no hole. I'm a higher rev player, so this layout was SPECTACULAR for me. The turn to the pocket was phenominal with a nice midlane read. Still very controllable, but VERY strong.

Gave the Total NV another test run today. Fresh pair, THS. The ball must have needed some break in games, cause it's ALIVE! The backend has really kicked up, and the drive the ball has is awesome.

I had to really start to pick up my ball speed to keep it on the 1-3 pocket. So this ball has really turned into "money". Very, very aggresive now, and the backend is dialed in to what I wanted. Great ball Ebonite!

WOW its amazing what a clean backend/fresh shot will do for a skid snap ball! Sounds as if the first time out with it there was carry down present.

It wasn't a carrydown issue, that was just before the x-hole was in it. That got the backend motion better, and really got the ball dialed in.
