GB 3 Solid and Pearl on Tour

Has anyone seen these balls being used by the pros on tour?

The Pearl goes down the lane a lot the last game or 2 of their blocks. TJ, Kyle Sherman, and Ronnie Russell throw the Pearl a ton. The GB2 had a little resurgence last season as well. The GB2 is much rounder than the later and sharper move of the GB3 so the GB2 is still  the #1 control resin option of Ebonite. Maybe the entire EBI brand.

Pretty sure Shannon Okeefe uses the GB2 quite a bit.
Think she used it to win title #10 yesterday.
I like the GB2 better than the GB3 solid or pearl.thegb3 solid was a bit to early for me and the gb3 pearl was to over/under - even after some surface changes.
I tend to not match up with fast response to friction pieces which the GB3 pearl was for me.
Ive seen others that get the pearl to smash through the pocket like crazy though

I have the GB-3 Pearl and had the same problem with over and under.  However, the house I bowl on has discovered oil.  Took the ball to the pro-shop last week and had the surface changed to 500/2000 Abralon with medium polish just to see if that would make a difference before I sold or gave the ball away.  WOW.  Started going up the boards over 10 and slowly moved in to about 17.  Nearly everything struck both flush and light hits.  Now this was in practice but is a very good sign to me.  I'll give it another try next week in league and see if it holds up.

As for the GB-3 Solid, I have ordered one since they have added more oil.  I was using a Destiny Solid but it's just not quite strong enough for these new conditions.  I hope I will have a good two ball combination with the solid and pearl.

I have both gb3s. Got the pearl first and HATED it with a passion. Either over hooked or under hooked. When I adjusted into the shot, I never knew what it would do. I was about to give it away when I adjusted the surface. I still keep some shine on it, but the ball is wonderful after getting rid of the factory surface. I tend to use a lower grit beneath the polish than most stuff comes from the factory. The solid is also fantastic. I have it drilled pin down, but that doesn’t really match up to the shot I usually bowl on. There is enough friction that I forces me a little too far inside for my rev rate to effectively carry corner pins. I hit it with 1000 grit and a light bit of royal compound and it is also a wonderful ball. Idk why we don’t see more of each ball

Only have 3 games on my GB3 solid blem but like it so far.  Kind of a comfort ball that loves the fresh.  Nice to have a benchmark reaction on the strong side that can handle some oil.

I have 2 solids pin up and down, I've rolled my first 8 with this ball and can find a shot on anything that has some oil. I also have the pearl, I rolled a 300 hundred in league the first time I rolled it, mind you I hit it 3000 after it was drilled, not being a big fan of polish. Both of these balls are very consistent.pin up is the strongest but the down is great when its'jumping on the fresh, it really evens it out.
