Helping finding new ball
« on: August 21, 2004, 03:21:12 AM »
I am currently using a Ebonite Gyro and it does what I want it to do but am looking to add a second ball to move my average a little higher.  I don't throw a big hook just rely on hitting mark and the ball breaking on the tail end of the lane.  Gyro I am using will track straight down the lane and break late to the pocket.  Just looking for another ball that might do the same or a litte more aggressive action.  I am open to any brand of ball.

It depends on which gyro your using, there were several but I would say the very next step up would be a tornado without the puck core, the tornado warning they call it but if your using a gyro reactive resin they would be too close.  Next you could try the tornado with the simple puck core.  The Stingers would be a step up from that and are great balls for the price.  Next would be the newest fire and ice which are basically new and different versions the ice being similiar to the stinger low flare pearl but having a better cover on it and the fire being somewhat similiar to a tornado.  These should get you some more hook and a lot better hit than your gyro and not make a big dent in your wallet.  If your not stuck on ebonite then try a power groove reactive as I happen to have one for sale at a great price.  Sorry for the shameless plug.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.
