Savage Flip Length

I am looking to get a skid/snap ball with good length for the
medium to medium-light conditions.  The new Savage Flip
looks like it could be for me.  Anyone know how it's length
compares to the Predator Sparkle and Savage Pearl?

I would say that the length of the Savage Flip is comparable to the Savage Pearl but it is a lot stronger in the back. This may be the best "skid/snap" ball we've had since the Turbo-X days !!!

The specs remind me very much of the old polished Jaguar, except it was a solid.

Well I got to drill up our Savage Flip last night.  Ball seemed to get some decent length and flipped over pretty nicely.  But my customer was throwing it on the slop left over from an entire day worth of bowling (11 at night) so it's tough to fully tell.  He's going to bowl with today and compare against his regular equipment...so I should know more today.

Goof, your customer was doing the right thing by practicing on the previous nights "slop". That is the best way to judge the true characteristics of a ball. About 90% of my practice time is on leftovers because it forces me to make better shots to get a true read. If you only practice on fresh house patterns every ball tends to look pretty much the same. A good, fresh house pattern will make every ball look like the greatest thing ever made.

I havent thrown the Savage Flip on anything but leftover carrydown yet and i still have it so much stronger in the back than the other stuff in the line. The good thing about this ball is the it doesnt take a lot of effort to get it through the fronts, but when it "FLIPS" it flips. The most asked for ball from the majority of bowlers is something that is long and left. This ball certainly fits the bill.

Thanks Jeff!  Our house shot is pretty cake so it definately does help to bowling on a used condition when you can.  My customer bowled the other day with the ball again...but left before I got down to the lanes.  My boss in the shop was watching him and if he threw the ball correctly it was exactly what we thought this ball would be:  Long and flip HARD!  Unfortunately he didn't bring any other equipment to judge against...so again, it's tough to get a true sence of what this ball is versus other equipment.

Geez...I guess I'll just have to drill one!
