first impression of NVS
« on: August 15, 2007, 10:51:43 PM »
Drilled Pin above fingers 4 1/2" from PAP.  Threw it last nigth for the first time and was impressed with the strenght of this ball.  I compared it to my TNV and it picks up earlier than the TNV.  I was standing in the same spot throwing both from 19 to 10 and the NVS is smoother than the TNV but carries thru the pins better.  I shot 3 games with it on THS...183 game one playing with line threw last 4 strikes...game 2 300 all flush no questions in the bunch...started game 3 with front 5 then the line went away threw a couple of splits made 2 board move left with feet and finished with 214   697.  Not bad for straight out of the box.  Leagues start next week we will see how it goes with a full crowd on the lanes.

yes I did.  I will probably play with it next month once I get my spinner at home.

I agree with phoneman that nvs reads the midlane more than the total nv.I think the total nv is cleaner through the fronts and more angular on the back.I like the nvs a little better because it doesn't jump off the spot as much as total.I hit mine with 4000 abralon no polish and it rolls awesome.Reads the midlane and with a nice strong arc move to the pocket.Layout was pin 3 1/2 and mb 5 and with the pin 1 1/4 from val with weight hole.I think the hook in these 2 balls are similiar but here they hook makes them different.
