How to drill my Mission
« on: March 07, 2010, 08:43:18 AM »
I'm a stroker and throw fast.  I currently own the ebonite angular one and it is drilled to go long and strong.  The pin is above and between ring and middle.  My track on the angular one is high.  Looked at the drill sheet on the mission and can't decide between layouts 1,2,and3.  Any help on how to make my decision would be helpfull.

Thanks

Mine was drilled by Beans and he drilled it 60 X 5 X 30 which for me puts the pin above the bridge and mb in the thumb.  Great control ball.  The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.  i say that because my son's Mission is drilled with the #2 drilling and its much stronger then mine.  Its suppose to be.  But he can play down and in with the ball and today in league stood 30 through 16 out to 8 and was crushing the pocket.  I might get a second and drill it with the #2 drilling, its that versatile.  So I would have to recommend the #2 drilling.  He had a longer pin so his pin was above the ring finger instead of below.

Well since you have a ball to go long and handle lighter patterns, do you want this ball to be able to handle more oil...

If so, I would drill it pin down, about 4' to your PAP with the MB kicked out 3" right of your thumb...

And since you have speed, I would try the ball out at the box finish.. You should like it...
