Drilled up the S minutes before league. 658 for the night. Had a few in a row, second game.

Very controllable arc with great Hit.

Mr. Pursuit(A) you are next, my friend.

Plus, how can you go wrong with Jeff Putty and Tony Churchey advertising for you!!! They both could strike if you drilled them a big rock!!! lol They are both awesome bowlers and I bowl with Tony in Senior tournaments and Jeff Putty bowls in the Friday night league I bowl in at Clarksville, TN.

Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will do some "Damn Good Bowling", be a "DV8" and not turn from it, besides bowling starts with a Big B!

I don't know about other people, but I have been bowling for 52 years. I have never been able to drill up a ball right before league, then go out an roll an honor score. C300 was OK, but I had to add some friction before it worked right. Storm VG Nano almost ended up in the Garage before found the right line to throw a 795. The C300 Outburst was good, but no honor scores until the 3rd week when I rolled a 300. This is what happens to me, but a friend of mine wants to buy a new one every week, because when he buys a new ball, he almost always throws an honor score the first time he rolls with it. It doesn't bother me that the manufacturers are coming out with new balls every week. If a new ball comes out and it fills a gap in my bowling, I might buy it. If it doesn't then I keep the plastic in my pants. I haven't received a check from Storm, Ebonite, Burnswick or any other company, so I don't feel obligated to buy any of their equipment. If I need it, I buy it. If I don't need it and someone tells me how great it is, then I say, "glad you like it. Good Luck"

The past few posters have said it best. I have thrown more than my fair share of ebo equipment...including the first three missions....which all did the same exact thing, IMHO. I do not consider the mission x a flop at all, its probably the most overlooked and needed in the line....im not buying it tho I forked over enough for the same mission ball three times in a row. It actually works on shots that no one expects it to as well! I'm only drawing the line at where I feel as a "customer, not a proshop, not a staffer"...."A CUSTOMER, A BOWLER" feels like I'm being taken advantage of. I'll be a fan of the pursuits when they stay in the product line and every ball site doesn't have them on fire sale...hickland did say that Mika and Tommy already won in Japan with the two balls....so ill take that as a good thing. Like I said I hope I'm wrong, I hope they're great, but I DO hope the other manufactures do not follow suit and start releasing two at a time in the same price point within the same productline within the same brand. Yeah I like to try stuff out, a lot of equipment some would say, but even I know when enough is enough. ill believe in the BS marketing..when I see someone actually use one...UNTIL THENits still hyped up BS marketing. I'll keep my $450 as well(I assume that will be close to what the average cost for a consumer will be). Good luck to the poor proshops having to stock these....there's a ton of affordable pieces out right now, and besides most of the shops can't even keep up with innovation, letalone the consumer...I'm glad it atleast won't make the shops look like idiots like the no mercys did.....this time its all about the $ and marketing. Who knows maybe the price will go down a bit...maybe well get a rebate lol, maybe it'll "save bowling" and releases will come in 3s.

AND no I don't feel bad about expressing my thoughts, ebo can start backing up what they are quoted in saying....they earned the reputation they got....look at history...cuz it can repeat itself...if you let it.

just my two cents.... these balls aren't ment for customers to buy "one of each" like you say. they're targeted towards 2 different markets. You'd be amazed how many people want a high end ball, but won't buy one because the core are mostly aysm.... People that like them will get them, those that want sym will get the s. I personally will be stocking both and fully expect both to be good sells.

The Bowlers Edge 2 just hit the nail on the head. I don't think Ebonite wants everyone to buy both. They are making the Pursuit for the "stroker" and Pursuit-S for the "cranker". I have both and the Pursuit-S suits my style better. Why is everyone bashing on EBI for making these 2 balls. Golf club makers have been doing this for years. They make a regular model driver, offset model and tour model. Cutomers like options or they wouldn't make some many different models.

Well, blow me down. The TWO NEW BALLS are made for two different styles.

Is that what Dozer in a tiff about.? The ads clearly ask, WHICH ARE YOU?

The S is for more down and in styles? The Pursuit is for much more movement , coast to coast styles.

Lucky Us, we get to try and allow other Bowlers a chance to Demo.

That can't be bad?

Being that you probably get them for free...this doesn't apply to you but, that's the cover up lol. If we support this it'll progressively get worse. Eventually well get a whole new arsenal every 3 months and the regional staffers who own proshops won't be in business anymore to tell us how we need to get this new ball, our most expensive to date.

I'm not going to feel the effects...I just don't agree with the whole idea, you get your stuff for free doctor...you wouldn't understand. Save bowling my foot.

I had a silver lining in my previous post, I said 2 pros won with the ball, I hope it does well...I'm just not excited about the future to come. Learn to read. I'm done apologizing...unlike you I "buy" all the crap ebo has made

Ed g. Was quoted in saying " we made a lot of bad balls in the past, we pushed em out too quickly...."
This was right before the mission, he promised that the mission was going to be awesome. So hopefully the pursuit is as well! Tell me why he's also quoted in saying we are going to make less balls? And now they're releasing in twos again? He doesn't make sense there. Idk hopefully this ball can do what the mission did for the masses cuz its got big shoes to fill.

No Mercy Beatn Love affair continues for this bowler! Awesome nearly every oily lane day for 4 years. So strong still I'm afraid to oil revive it, AND I bought it used!

Like my Xcel pearl also as did many of the old men I saw tearing it up with it.

The Staff Balls are not free. All Staffers work very hard to promote and help sell The Ebonite Brand.

I've had success with Ebonite stuff (the One and the TNV) but I like Storm better. That being said I think all companies roll out a ton of balls these days, what I like to see is a popular/performing ball stay in the product line. IMO this is where Storm is above the rest. If you look at the last few years their shelf life is greater than any other brand. The Hyroad, Virtual Gravity, and many others stayed in the their respective line for more than 3-4 months ( i mean jeez the Hyroad is still in the product line) I don't believe any other manufacturer can say that about any of their balls.

And as a matter of fact, the 3 models (now 5 if you count the x and mission 3.0,) of the mission do react differently. Not really into the socio-politcal-financial angle here. Just the bowling.

original checks up faster, not as big a hook as the 2. the 2 behaves more of a pearl than the original for me, can really swing it, but not so good with reading friction as the 1, the 250k is like a mission 2 on steriods. very good continuation.

I do agree that there is overlap, specially if you know how to adjust lines, speed and releases.

Finally got a chance to try the Pursuit on league tonight. Managed a 220 something with two opens.

Lane 1 hooks, lane 2 not so much. Wrong ball to throw but new ball-itis got in the way.

Coast to coast, maybe not for me but MUCH HOOK across the lanes.

Bowled again tonight. My new customers on Tuesday have not watched me bowl.

Five came up and said, didn't know you bowled.

Folks that have known me for years, joked it up, not in the shop tonight.?

Not cleaning up? Not in concession? Hey, my approaches stick.

Started with the front 4 with the Pursuit, opened the tenth. 2 teen.

Switched to the S, 2 oh something, opened tenth.

Switched back to Puruit,190 something, two opens .

Can say, I liked the S more tonight.

The Pursuit gets down the lane and makes the turn.

Had more control with the S.

Which Bowler are you?
