Don't mind people that throw certain companies out of the mix, all companies make good stuff, you just need to match it up properly with the lane condition you want to throw it on, and pick a good layout and surface grit.
Good asymetric options include:
The Infinite
The Awesome Hook
The Seek and Destroy
The Passion
The Battle
The Robo Rule
Symmetric:
The Scorchin'
The Ultimate
The Action Max
The Hawg Zilla
The Super Carbide Bomb
Others are out there, but these are the ones that I have seen in person and researched. I have the S&D, the AH, and the Scorchin'. While all options work, I would narrow down the possibilities by considering what type of reaction you want. The asymetrics can give many different looks due to the drilling options, but in general, each ball has characteristics to its own. The AH is probably the most angular of all the options present, being a strong asym designed to be a flippier versioon of the TS&A it really gets sideways. Others that I would put into the Angular class are the Action Max and the Hawg Zilla, while a bit smoother these balls are also excellent for swinging the lane.
The Scorchin, Ultimate, Passion, Infinite, S&D I would put into the strong arc category, if you want a versitile option where you can take it up the boards or inside, look here. The Scorchin is a more angular version of the UI. The others are oilers, with my favorite, as it is my favorite overall ball, being the S&D. Its great for oil as it is particle and yet still maintains angularity even though it has a very agressive roll phase.
The Carbide is considered by many to be the most agressive ball out there and heads off the Even rolling class that by process of elimination includes the Robo, and Battle. Great for playing up the boards and on sport patterns.
All are good just match it up to your game.
