Has anyone polished that Infinite One, and if so what surface and degree of polish did you use. I am a high rev player and I am having problems with the ball burning up to soon. I am a pro shop owner and I drilled this ball with a 3 inch pin, 4 inches from pap with the pin just above my ring finger and cg kicked out, pretty big weight hole. I guess what I am asking is if I polish it will it keep the cover from doing its job.

Sounds to me that he is looking for some feedback. makes good sense to me!!!
sounds like he not one of those pro shop guys who thinks he knows all.
not afraid to ask questions. seems like he willing to listen and learn.

A couple things. FIRST....it could be the drilling with the strength of it. We have no axis point, so there is some vagueness here. I think sanding up to 1000 abralon and factory finish over that may do ther trick.

SECOND......he may be on the wrong condition. For all we know, he may be bowling on lanes that have fried heads. If that is the case, the ball is going to burn up.

CHILLX...we need more info. Ball speed, PAP, lane condition would be a huge help.

DOES POLISH A/Effect the OIL SOAKING PROPERTY's OF THE ONE SERIES?

of course it does....however it really defeated(s) their original marketing of the 'ONE'....how moronic is that! sold in the box polished

YES...the inf. one will go much longer w/polish...go view the web site comparision video's...UNLESS of course they removed them...

When polished all (3) 'ONE's" are basically the same ball...

Just looked back at this topic since I posted it last week or so......First of all to the butthead that thinks I dont know what I am doing, I was simply asking for experiences from other people. And no I dont know everything in the pro shop business and I am learning everyday. I have only been in business since August of last year, but this guy thinks he must know everything after what he said. I appreciate the feed back from everybody but the jackass that had nothing but negative comments.

I drilled mine Pin Down Under fingers MB Strong and took it to 1000 abralon then Factory finish. All I can say is WOW. This ball is amazing. I have never had a ball reaction like this. Easy through the heads and really for such a strong cover an amazing amount of backend evenonour 44' House pattern on wood. The ball just kept coming on the backend. I havent thrown a ball for about 4 weeks with moving the pro shop and stuff but I was amazed that even with the polish this ball is a hook monster and I couldn't make it rollout. Switched to the SR300 in game 2 and posted much better scores the rest of the night. I could have played 5th arrow with infinite one in game one and I have never had a ball that handled the puddle that well!

ive noticed on the long oil pba pattern, for me, this ball had a hard time turning the corner (outside of 10 was OOB), but mine was like glass. i didnt have scotchbrite on me so i just used another ball (dull sr300) it probably had to do with the amount of flare this ball has vs long oil carrydown vs layout. (pin above finger with MB in strong no weight hole)

i wish i had scotchbright with me cuz on sunday the lanes played really tight.

the 9pm leagues i bowl do not re oil after 6pm leagues

so i hardly get to use this ball for its purpose. polished up the ball works great for house shot conditions

the surface on the infinite one is 1500 with ebonite factory finish.
