I recently picked up an Infinite One. I know the factory surface is 500 grit. The drilling is pin up and right of ring, cg stacked. Would that surface still be a good match up for the drilling, for heavier oil?
Most strong drilled balls I've had, had a low grit surface, and pin over balls, have had higher grit surfaces. Just looking for any input on this.
Thanks!

The 500 grit Abralon surface is used with this ball to match it up for heavily oiled lane conditions for most styles. Hopefully you have a useful ball for your arsenal!

Will it still be aggressive with that drilling, and 500 grit?
Hoped you chime in Jeff!

This ball is Phenomenal!!! Hardest hitting ball I have ever thrown.

The coverstock strength combined with a 500 Abralong surface will be strong on nearly any lane condition. Your ball and coverstock are definitely going to dominate your ball layout in this case.

Surface strength and texture are more important than the layout, and core, but it is not overwhelmingly so. Though I'm not sure of your pap and thus cannot evaluate your drilling fully, I none the less can offer input on the approximate height of the pin above the midline. A higher pin will give the ball more length, and therefore you can usually expect more backend from the fact that more length, less hook up front, means more energy on the backend.
That being said, you should still have a good ball for heavier conditions, especially those with moderate length (of oiling). Where such a ball may struggle is heavier patterns that are very long (45 feet or so), not to mention lighter conditions of course.
