Smash Time Solid
« on: March 04, 2007, 02:54:47 AM »
I heard this ball is a Particle Solid, if so then it will be good to have in my bag. I have the opportunity to purchase a Smash Time for under $100 never been thrown but it is drilled. The pro-shop owner measured up one of the youth bowlers for her right hand when she is a left hand bowler. Jim offered me 1st dibs on the ball (usually get 1st shot at everything thats either been sitting for 60+ days or on error drillings like this). I need more solid equipment in my bag as the only ball I have is my Scorchin Inferno.

Im just looking for something with a little more back end reaction over my Vapor Zone. I dont usually see the extreme wet/dry like i did last year.

Whats your view on this ball, is it worth it, and will it give me that harder back end movement???

Just so you know, the pin is right of the ring finger pretty close to the finger hole and the CG is almost in the palm center. Pretty much a control layout like my Rampage.

Thanks for any thoughts or input. Im looking at about $125 out the door for this one.

Ebonite has been another company that I can use very well, if brunswick ever started to fail me Ebonite would be the fall back company.  The only Ebonite Balls I've ever used were The One, The Big One, and Angular One.

You did not answer my questions though.

I just picked on one up, and can't wait to roll it. I've been looking at this ball for quite awhile.

I got this ball about 4 months ago and it is stronger than advertised.  I use it on medium-heavy to heavy conditions.  It has a very strong move at the break point.  My carry is good as long as there is oil in the heads.  I am very happy with it and recommend it as a good choice for oil.

Why Paul, I'm STUNNED, Your not pushing the InSite stuff here, if Mark's ball's were that good, why would you even think about trying an Ebonite product? Can't the Prophecy be drilled for differnt lane pattern's?

Drrev, LOL...I just knew you would bust on me!  What took you so long?

Just so we are clear, I bought the Smash Time and a couple of other balls to roll in the Baltimore PTQ and I am thinking of entering some regionals this year as well.  I cannot use my InSite equipment so it is what it is...given the preference, I would like to use my InSite equipment but I cannot.

Now that you know, you can wipe that STUNNED look off of your face!

Hi I have a smashtime and have no problem wheeling this ball.
Infact im so confident in this ball making the turn at the breakpoint that i can stand well left and watch it shoot back to the pocket.
I use my smash time when my storm agent is not working.
Hope you get one.
Garry.
