For those who have polished their V2s (sanded), I would appreciate some feedback
on the resulting charactertics of the ball.

1. how much longer did it skid,
2. hook shape,
3. aggressiveness at breakpoint: mellow arc, hard turn, sudden flip etc.
4. continuation thru pindeck, or is it now being deflected by the pins
5. ability to handle slight?, moderate? carrydown

The reason is, I am feeling a gap in between my pantera (1200 grit) and the tiger in certain lane conditions.  And am toying with the idea of polishing a solid ball instead of getting a pearl.  

Current candidates for polishing: V2 sanded, Jungle green, Obsession.

Would appreciate any comments you guys might have..

Have 2 both polished but to different levels.

1-Drilled 4X4 - ball revs early and smooth transition on backend. Polished it to 1500 high gloss. Gets easy 6-8' and transitions harder but still very readable and good continuation. Second ball is drilled 5X4 polished to light lustre of 1000 grit. Again gained a few feet and more boards. I use this when heads are gone and swing the inside line where the other plays better up the boards. From my experience polish does what it is suppose to which is save the energy for the backend.It enhanced the hook shape of the balls but did not signifigantly change it.  How you have it drilled and  proper rotation answer more of your questions than what polish does.  Try it if doesn't work for you, take it to a higher grit  dull surface or go to a sheen finish.

The control is more affected by the pattern of oil, drill pattern used and your release. A polished ball retains more energy but can be more prone to over/under also in some cases.
