kind of confused???
« on: January 25, 2007, 12:49:14 PM »
I just gave my infinite one a hot water bath and then wet sanded it to 500 grit with an abralon pad and left it there.  So I just threw it today for the first time in a while since it hadnt quite been reacting like it had been and all I can say is wow.  It is now out hooking what it was when the ball was brand new by approxamitly 8 boards and maybe 15 more than before the hot water bath.  I just dont understand why it is hooking so much more now than when I bought it brand new???  Anyone have any ideas??  I know the lanes were freshly oiled too so it wasnt that.  I'm not really complaining about the hook bc I have wanted something for a flood but I was wondering what I might have done that would be different from the stock finish.

I've noticed some of the Ebonite stuff needs some break in games. It could be by the time you got your ball broke in, it was absorbing some oil too.

Now that it's back fresh, you've got the peak performance. Just my opinion on it.
