Lane Breaker
« on: June 08, 2009, 12:39:25 PM »
Has another got a chance to try it out and how this one is compared to some of the other pearl balls Ebonite has? I may go to the pro shop this week to order this one or Track's 505C since I don't have a medium oil ball under my Power Machine (need more of a control ball for tournaments). I did notice that it has a high differential so I didn't want something to dublicate my Power Machine even though it has the NVD coverstock (which I've had tons of success with).

Hi,

For me this ball has quite and angular motion.  It goes longer than my One Pearl but still corners very hard.  Very clean through the heads.

I too will be going with a Lane Breaker over the 505C.  From what I gather from the specs on the 505, it's going to be yet another Upper performance ball with a medium performance price.

I drilled one of these fine pieces today. The ball wasn't quite what I was expecting out of the box... It went a pinch too long and never quite read the lane. Nothing a little 4000 pad won't hurt though...

Once I knocked the polish off the ball was OUSTANDING! Great ball for the price point. Even with a touch of surface, the ball clearned the front part of the lane with ease and gave me a very strong, defined motion to the pocket. Lots of angle out of this ball!

I can't wait to get this ball on some tougher patterns later this week and see how it performs.
