so how's youre tnv?
« on: April 29, 2007, 01:30:40 PM »
I like mine as much as my no mercy but I'm on the fence on the cover prep.at 4000 it's great with med.oil but it will check up in the mids to early sometimes.with polish it's a little twitchy on the backends.so how dose everyone else have their cover's on their tnv? all in all this is an awesome ball.

Love mine with box finish, clean with Trak Clean n Dull, then hand polish with Ebonite particle polish.

Used mine at Nationals and had a great reaction in doubles and singles

Actually I was told directly by Ebonite that for polishing you need to use Powerhouse Factory Finish Ball polish, not Particle Polish.  The Total NV is a reactive ball, not particle, and they use Factory Finish in the finishing process of the Total NV.

Also they said for cleaning to use Powerhouse Energizer Cleaner with an oil free towel.  I too use Track's Clean and Dull for the cleaning process...

Mine has a light hit of 4000 on the OOB polish finish.  Works great!

I have my strong one at 1000 by hand to handle more oil and i have a Tommy Jones trick layout one that im thinking of taking to 4000 or 2000. The one at 1000 works very well on medium heavy oil. I was playing pretty deep with it so on heavy i could probably move way right and get decent reaction.

I know factory finish polish is recommended. I have that also. Just the particle polish leaves the ball slightly more tacky.
