Did they have any in 14?
Is that a blue colored ball? I saw somebody throwing an Ebonite Mega X a few weeks ago, but when I searched for Mega X, all I could find was an overseas Hammer ball (http://www.123bowl.com/ball.asp?ballid=2855). Looked really nice. Guy busted out a 250-something the first game.
Edit: found it on their website - http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2367871&cp=694986&parentPage=family
Looks like the same ball, but I don't remember it saying "particle" on it. Of course, the guy was about 4 lanes away. I just remember seeing the Mega X and the Ebonite logo.
Guess I'm going to check out my Sports Authority, but I'm pretty sure they stopped selling bowling supplies about 5 years ago (that's what they told me back in 2004 when I was looking for shoes).

Can't really speak about the mega X, but several years ago the sports authority in Dallas, Tx was carrying some balls I looked at.
They had an ebonite 8-ball, but the core was totally different from the high performance model, this one only had a pancake in it.
Also, they were carrying a ball labeled Nitro. Sadly, it too was only a cheap, pancake cored knock-off of the original.
Not saying the mega x is a pancake core, but they have a reputation for selling cheaper versions of the originals. Might not be high performance at all, so I would be leery of it myself.

If that description on the Sports Authority website is right (not sure since they have a couple obvious typos on it) it is a simple pancake weight block with a particle coverstock.
