Title: Mission 2.0

we have a chance to try out this mission 2.0. it is drilled left handed, my son is right handed. if we put some inserts in it to try it. what should we expect and will it do any thing because of the weight hole on the left side of the ball.  you can see the ball at this link. will that weight hole be a huge factor?

i mine drilled pin right of ring finger and MB 2 inches right of thumb(right handed) and i put a p1 hole in it and the ball was still strong for me. i shot great sets with it. it looks like the weight hole may be placed on the VAL. but im not sure completely on that.

You can expect him to track over the weight hole and it to be pretty smooth and not very strong because of the mb location

that's kind of what we thought, but weren't sure. we were thinking about plugging and redrilling one finger and making the weight hole the thumb. thus making the old thumb a weight hole for a right hander. assuming we can make the span work, just a thought.

That might work but the finger you don't plug is not gonna have a good pitch in it. I would plug both fingers I also would plug the thumb...but that's just my recommendation

you pro shop guy should be recommending you to plug the entire thing if you have asked him.

it is a waste of time to partially plug a ball.

the hand length, finger pitches, thumb pitch, and the drilling need to be perfect for your son.

dont invest any time or money unless you do that.

we would definitely get it fitted properly for him. we were just wanting to see if he can even throw it. he throws 14lbs currently, but this feels like a light 15lb and he really wants to try it. we found it at the local alley on the rack and the pro shop guy told us we could try it and decide if we want to buy it. thanks for all the input we really appreciate it.

son tried the mission, it was straight, no hook. the pro shop is going to plug it up hopefully he will have back for league next saturday.
