Mission 2.0 vs. Jigsaw Trap
« on: December 25, 2010, 05:12:01 PM »
I will be getting one of the two for christmas, and don't know which one to get. I am not very knowledgeable about bowling balls, and would greatly appreciate someone helping me out.

I am a righty, average about 190, and throw a power shot. I stand on the left half of the lane and throw 2nd arrow (sometimes 2.5) with moderate-to-high speed and revolutions.

I am willing to change my angle to better suit the ball... I just don't know which ball will be better for me. They both get great reviews. I want a ball that I can control, will hit the pocket with power (I HATE 10 pins), and will hit the pocket regardless of whether or not I hit my mark.

If anyone knowledgeable about bowling balls can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

I dont have any insight on the 2.0. I do have a mission and a trap. My mission is at 500 and my trap is oob.The mission is only slightly stronger,2 to 3 boards with the feet, but the trap is more useable with its polished surface. I very rarely use my mission and dont have to because with the trap you can square up on the fresh and as the shot changes you can migrate across the lane without losing carry. The trap is great I think for med. heavy and under for me. Now I dont throw nearly as fast as you so take that for what its worth. I think on a ths you cant beat the trap.

I have both balls. I drilled my Trap for when I need to move left (70x4.5x45) and the mission 2.0 for oilier condition (60x4.5x50). When the lanes are medium I have to play deeper with the Trap than the Mission 2.0. When the lanes are oilier the Trap would be very skiddish and unpredictable but the Mission 2.0 would give you a very predictable smooth reactions. Both balls carries very well. If I had to pick between these two balls I would pick the Mission 2.0 because it is more predictable and you can use it on both medium and oilier condition without having to change the surface but for medium condition I would recommend shining it up.
