Mission and Mission 2.0 ...Will they work for me?
« on: November 16, 2010, 02:24:40 AM »
I've had 5 balls from another company the past 15 months or so and only 2 of the 5 performed well for me with the other 3 NOT performing at all. I've had a bad a ball not match up to me from other companies now and then, but NEVER 3 out of 5 not matching up for me. Even surface changes and layout changes didn't help, so I am probably done buying balls from that company. Meanwhile while struggling with the balls that didn't perform, I keep going back to my Ebonite Gamebreaker which has NEVER let me down yet. It seems to work on almost any lane condition for me.

To sum it up, when I buy my next ball, I am going to try balls from other companies and am looking strongly at Ebonite (due to my success with the Gamebreaker and old V2 Pearl) and Brunswick. The recent talk on BR about the Mission has caught my eye and the numbers on the 2.0 look interesting also.

So....my question is....Is the Mission really that good and does anyone think it would match up to me as well as my Gamebreaker has??? .... And is there enough seperation between the Mission and the 2.0 for both to fit in my bag since the numbers although not the same, are close?

My style is....

RH
Stroker/Tweener
Ball Speed 15-16 mph
175-200 Revs

The Mission is a great ball, but if you like the Gamebreaker you need to take a look at the Vital Sign. Very versitle ball with a similar reaction shape. The Core numbers very close in 14lbs. Can't go wrong with a Mission either.

i have a gamebreaker , playmaker , mission , vital and two mission 2.0 . The playmaker was my favorite for a long time , But id have to say my benchmark ball is now the 2.0 .  it is a very strong on the backend and gets good length. when i get on a proshot or heavy oil , i go to the mission. so either mission is a great look and you can defintely change the surfaces to fit your game. I have comparion video of those 2 balls in the video section of this site to give you an idea
