Mission Domination = Mission 1.5
« on: January 08, 2011, 11:15:14 AM »
Mission Domination is already released last summer in Japan as Mission1.5.

Only the color and the surface finish are different.

It is very sensitive on backend.

So, most of EBO bowlers in Japan like Mission 2.0 more.

If I recall correctly, during the original mission seminar, I remember Ed Gallagher saying color can have a pretty big effect on the reaction of the ball. The original Mission was tested with all three colors of the Magic Action, red, blue and gold. All three balls had distinctly different reactions. So to say that the Mission Domination is a copy of the Mission 1.5 is misleading.

I wish somebody would prove if color has a difference on ball reaction. I've heard it does and that it doesn't.

Ebonite has done studies on how the color affects the reaction and it seems certain colors make a ball move more than other colors.  I think they said blue tends to hook more as does red and black.

With the new chemical additive, color is not nearly a factor anymore.
Red was always the hook. 2.0 stronger. New Mission more continuation.

Oh and the limited overseas ball, purple in color is not the Mission Domination.
We saw the 2.0 and the 1.5 in Hopkinsville. We just didn't know what they were at the time.

Great point. Don't have the finish for the 1.5. Domination is 1000,2000, and 3000.
Only a 3 step. Do you have the 1.5 finish for comparison?
Also, Domination will be readily available unlike the limited 1.5

Mission 1.5 is not the same ball as the Mission Domination and the performance isn't the same.

Mission 1.5 is a solid coverstock unlike the Mission, Mission 2.0 and Mission Domination
