My One-A bit indecisive
« on: April 04, 2006, 03:00:41 PM »
Today i got my One drilled today. My coach put drilling #2 on it. When i practiced with it I wasn't exactly thrilled with the first couple of shots. However i switched lines and started playin around with it to see what it does, and going out from 15 to 5 the ball came back and straight up 10 it was a monster, However. When i left from that house i went to my regular one AND i was sadly dissappointed. Im not sure what condition oob is for,but it didn't do the same thing at this house at the other one. The reason i ask is because it was a crap load of oil at the first house and really light w/ lots of carry down, so it really wasn't performin. Should i expect this. I'll find out what it does truly tomorrow when i go to league. Not sure about this though.

4000 grit plus polish=tons of length unless you have very slow ball speed or are playing on a shorter pattern...

Redbird... from what you stated .. nothing surprising if you take the finish of the cover into account .. it could be any ball.

I also have a big one and im thinkin about putting drill # 3 on...what are your thoughts on it and if i wanted to pull the cover down, what would be a good grit?

try 1000 with polish, if that isn't enough try 4,000 without polish.

Instead of writing drill number 1,2,3 and making me search, just write down pin to pap and mb to pap and if there is a weighthole or not. Easier that way...

There is going to be overlap with your big deal/overtime with both of these balls unless these have specific reaction gaps that need to be filled. I'm assuming both of these are a little earlier rolling, so you might want to slap the same drilling on the big one and adjust the surface so as you still get a strong backend as compared to the even reaction from the other two... Just my two cents.
