my take on the adrenaline wipes...
« on: January 18, 2012, 08:01:39 AM »
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my thoughts on the new adrenaline wipes that ebonite just came out with. I have done testing on 3 diff. balls and I can say that I did recieve maybe a couple boards more of hook, but not alot... The people dont need to expect to see a huge difference because thats not the case, etc. One of maybe the best characteristics is that the ball basically feels better when bowling, because about 70% of the oil does not hover over the coverstock with each shot.

I did however use 1 wipe to do all 3 balls and maybe even had a little left. The smell was in fact kind of rough but not like what people make out to be... The wipes have to be some kind of substance that makes the coverstocks softer such as aceton, just a little more extreme. They do however have to work, for you can see a considerably less amount of oil on the ball. Im not going to sit here and say though that it will bring a dead ball back to life however, etc. I think once a ball is rejuvinated then this could be applied to better maximize performance. This is not going to be a miracle worker however so dont go out on a limp expecting to much with these.
I will however continue using the wipes and will update you guys when I get to test it with other bowlers. This is just my initial thoughts on the product. Ebonite has created something great that will open up a door to future products such as this.

If they changed the softness of the cover they would be illegal so I highly doubt they do that.To be honest, my take on them is that they just open the pores of the ball....I think they would be best used immediately before and oil extraction as they seem to open the pores and allow more oil in and more oil out...At least thats my take on it.

I used them for the first time yesterday and tried to see how many balls I could do with one wipe. Well I actually did 8 balls!  On the last one, I had to rub it a little more to get the chemical to cover the ball thoroughly, but it did so completely. The smell wasn't as bad as some made it out to be. I started with my Taboo and from the very first ball, I could see the dirt coming off the ball. By the time I was done, the towel was pretty much done. I could feel that the ball surface looked and felt clean, "almost" like a new coverstock, but with dings and scratches, lol. I like this product and I'll keep using it for now.

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.
