Need some help in a ball selection please.
« on: July 01, 2012, 12:26:02 PM »
I have three Missions (X at 2000, 1.0 at 4000 and the 2.0 at 1000 polished).  All of these balls are strong.  I need a ball that will fit below these but be stronger than a Cyclone or Columbia Freeze.  I'm looking at the Innovate but have not seen this ball in action so I'm not sure if this is what I need.  I was also looking at the Track 811A but have been told that it's as strong as the Mission 2.0.

I would like to stay with the Ebonite family as that's about all my proshop handles.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Warning Sign would give you a different look. The Innovate, my new personal favorite is really long and really strong. Endure is more even for me, but way prettier down the lane. Arsenal wise,  Innovate seems to be what you are asking for.
Let us know what you decide.

So many balls in the range you specified.  which is both a good and bad thing.

For my own preference:
Vital energy if skid snap, vital energy if similar to mission shape is desired,

There so many to choose from.  I guess it will have to depend on the shape and lane you need.

I think the Endure would be a great fit in there.  Looks like you already have enough pearls with only one solid (Mission X)  The Endure is a hybrid cover with a phenominal core.

Game Changer or the Endure would be good options, Both will fit under your Missions, and above your Cyclone.I would lean toward the Game changer, really nice benchmark piece.

Thanks guys.  Settled on the Endure.  I've only been able to throw it one game but I think it's going to be exactly what I was looking for.  We drilled it with the pin about 4 1/2" from my pap and just to the right side of the ring finger.  Put polish over the box finish of 3000.  The ball, with this drilling and surface, gives me a strong arc which, I think, will be very controllable.  Looks like it will fit below my Mission 1.0 and, with the Mission X for heavy oil,  should give me a pretty good arsenal.  Gotta say, this ball look great going down the lane.

Appreciate all the help.  I'll try to do a review when I've had a chance to throw the ball during league.

Never answered the ?.  Did his lane pattern dictate a straighter trajectory?
