towards the end of the season...been running into some heavier oil at the lanes i bowl at....and my sr300 isn't giving me the look i'd like...it's drilled with the #3 drilling....and i'd like to get something...with the same drill...that will give me some more movement...in heavier oil...was thinking about a TNV...but not sure...would like to stay with ebonite.....
lefty...usually throw around 18-19mph...and i'd say medium revs...
-
My TNV is on order so I cannot speak to it's performance on heavy oil. I do know that my SmashTime is great on medium-heavy to heavy oil...

pearl or nonpearl?

pearl or nonpearl?
The solid version, not the pearl. It is a beast, very under rated by Ebonite.

The Smash Time Pearl as well as the solid has a beautiful move to the pocket. Goes long, snaps hard, carries the world.
But if I was you, go simple with a Ebonite Whirl Wind and let the ball do the work. Simple but yet effective. It is probably one of the best balls in my arsenal right now.

I don't think the Whirlwind will work will on heavy oil. I'd go with an Infinite One.

Mine sure does at OOB condition and polish. The ball is amazing.
The Infinite Ones are discontinued now, as well as the Whirl Wind, so I'd go with a TNV, throw a 4000 grit on it, and baby its back.

Infinite One is easily available and it's still up on the Ebonite site. That's Ebonite's heavy oiler. The TNV doesn't really work well on heavy oil unless you have a great deal of revs.

Just go for the infinite one for oil !!!!!Unless you would like a ball from a different company. Then a Passion is a great oil ball . No mercy is also good in oil if you sand it down to 1000 from the factory 4000 abralon. Or you could always look at the Raw Hammer PAIN good oil ball IMO.
Pain is NOT a ball for heavier oil ball. It is about a medium oil ball. From Ebonite, I would say an Infinite or a Angular. But if your thinking outside of Ebonite, try a Hammer Hawg Zilla.
