New Angular One Spotlight
« on: October 24, 2006, 02:46:19 AM »
Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that Ebonite has posted some great Angular One videos on their website.  Go to the home page and click on "Series Spotlight" to view them.  I think you'll find there's a lot of great info there, and Ron's done a nice job of outlining their new release.

Great videos, im not much of an ebonite guy but i will probably end up picking up this one

I particularly like the close up of the ball oob which really shows what the ball can do and how strong off the spot it is...

I think that is a great idea of showing all the videos.. but really they are somewhat misleading.

For instance, the compare the awesome hook and angluar one.. which IMO shouldn't be compared. The Awesome Hook is supposed to be smooth and continuous, and the angular one is supposed to be angular.. so even if the angular one makes most of hooking action up on the backend.. it still is a completly different reaction from throwing an awesome hook compared to that ball. Also.. who would buy an Angular one and then dull it to 500.. it would be pointless so why show the video for it.

It's a really good idea.. but stay in the class of anuglar.. don't compare a hook monster to a ball that is suppose to be angular. Why show the ball being smooth when it's being marketed for angularity!

Comparing it to the Radical, Black Widow, Agent would have been fine!

-Chris

P.s. The ball does look nice.. just that the videos are too misleading for the average bowler.

I think the purpose of showing this ball at 500 grit and it giving a smooth reaction just shows how versatile it can be with cover changes.

Some bowlers like to have small arsenals and do a lot of cover changes with the same ball.  I also know several bowlers that buy two of the same ball and adjust the cover on one of them but use the same layout.  I have done this before myself.
