I think I heard that a new ball from Ebonite is coming soon called the Pivot. Has anyone heard anything about it.

ebonite is desperate. how many "high performance" balls can you put out a year? they had what 3-4 last year plus the source that came out a couple weeks ago and this one is supposed to be better? they need to stop throwing crap at the wall and actually develop covers that compete with the best out there.

The Source isn't in the top tier, and according to their Website the introduction of the Pivot brings the "High Performance" line to 3 balls total. Brunswick, Storm, and Columbia300 all have 3 balls in their top tier as well......

The price point is 139.95, although high performance...I think thats very generous of ebonite to offer such a price point.  Its like roto grip before the defiant line.  HP balls used to be ~$140...those were the days!
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Ebonite has 2 balls that's been released this year with the Challenge being released last year! Brunswick's top end line, Aura, was released last year as was the Lucid in the Storm line! It doesn't surprise me with the new fall/winter leagues starting that the ball manufacturers are releasing new stuff!!! Wait till close to the holidays and you'll probably see more! They all do it and one company doesn't have the corner on releasing more than others! They have to keep up with each other!! lol I remember when I started in the bowling business that everybody was excited about the release of a new ball cause they didn't do it very often in the 70's and when I started drilling balls in the 80's it wasn't much different! Just my $.02, Bruce

That's the problem with bowling, manufacturers are rushing balls to the market to compete with each other, and the overall quality of the product declines because I can't believe ball companies legitimately have time to test them before releasing them when they come out every couple of months.

I've only been back into bowling for about 2 months, but I haven't seen a single Ebonite/Track/C300 ball being thrown around here. To that end, the only Brunswick ball I've seen is the Aura and the only Hammer ball I've seen is the Nail smoke/fire. Seems like everyone is throwing Motiv, Storm, Roto and DV8. It also seems like their releases are spaced out rather than multiple balls in a few weeks time. Seems like they actually put time and effort into developing products that work, rather than just throwing whatever they have together and saying "buy me, I hook"...
