Title: New Bash and Clash
Post by: themachine300 on May 29, 2008, 01:15:12 PM
I was browsing around and saw that buddies has the new red/black bash and the turquoise clash available.  Ebonite.com doesn't even have these listed on their website. They have the playmaker and the one remake up.  Just looking for more info on these balls and their differences from the orginals.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to thinking that if they buy a new ball they will carry everything. And its even funnier when im carrying with my 15 year old ball and they're going flat ten.

I saw Tommy Jones rolling these 2 balls today at the South Carolina state tournament.  The red/black bash looks wise is pretty nice but he only rolled it once.  He rolled the clash for a couple of games before going to a complete NV.  Hard to tell anything about the reaction because it's a house shot and everything is similar.  On a side note this team had Kenny Simard bowling 3rd and Tommy Jones anchoring it.  How's that for a state tournament team?  TJ had a playmaker in his bag which i was hoping he'd roll but he never did.

Yeah I know Jerry, Jeff and Kenny real well.  They told me a few months ago how stacked their team was.  I was like, crap.  Our team is nothing but 230 avg house hacks, yall got pro's!  Thats not fair!  I heard tommy shot 3 in doubles but haven't heard what their team shot.

Once again nothing new from the boys in Hopkinsville...

Retread of the Tomahawk core.  Probably had a bunch of old cores lying around the warehouse.

How about something new guys????

Jeff and I shot 1464 scratch doubles with 580 in the last game. Then Jeff bowled with Tommy the following squad and they shot 1491. Tommy shot 300 with a Complete NV. The Clash looked good.

Ebonite.com has info on the two new balls up now.  Looking at the numbers, the diff. in both balls seem to be much lower than the originals.

The new Clash has a revisit of the Trimax core which was huge.  They've just toned down the cover stock....hopefully.

Thanks for the heads up.  That video is really interesting.  The newer stuff does appear to be a bit weaker overall, but it is also evident that the new pieces have an asym look to them.  Whereas the older versions seem to float through the front and hook set on the back, the newer ones seem to transition from the skid phase to the hook phase much more smoothly.

So many companies don't come out with weak asyms, but these look really good upon first impression.  I might have to give them a try.

I DON'T GET how they can use the clash that far left when their other balls that are more aggressive are in the same spot, its cannot be the same FRESH house shot.

Some house shots can give you the impression that bowling balls are similar.  If you throw them on flatter patterns and different surfaces/oil volumes, you really see the difference
