New Ebonite Equipment
« on: May 25, 2004, 09:08:45 PM »
Just went to an Ebonite Demo Days for the new equipment coming out, and although I don't throw any Ebonite equipment now, (last one was an Adrenaline), I was pretty impressed.  My favorite was the Primal Instinct, enough power to come back from as deep inside as I could get (house shot, mind you), but carried from very deep inside, or outside with more speed.  Next favorite was the V2 Sweet.  Great length, and very strong backend, not quite a flip, but very close.  Next favorite was the Showtime Sanded.  Very powerful ball, could be a great value for the price, not quite as strong as the Primal Instinct, but pretty close, went through the beak more often than in the pocket, not really enough oil to give the Showtime Sanded, Prime Time, or Primal Instinct a good workout.  I also liked the Showtime Pearl, close to the V2 Sweet, but maybe a little less powerful on the back it seemed to me.  I also threw the new Prime Time solid, and again, had trouble, but the shot was a bit too dry for it, so that could be why.  Looks like Ebonite has put out a fantastic new arsenal, and any of these would be a great addition to anyone's bag.  Got the Showtime Sanded for myself, and we'll see how it performs on different conditions I may see.  Any questions feel free to ask.  Thanks again Ebonite!

Those EBONITE DEMO DAYS are fantastic things! I look forward to them whenever they are in town (not really as often as I would like!).

I have a question for you .. more for information purposes then anything else! Would you PLEASE advise what the ATTENDANCE COST was? You can email me the info if you don't want to post it! Thanks!

Joe, in OKC a year and a half ago, it was $8 for an hr. of trying all of their balls plus they furnished food and refreshments, had door prizes, and etc. Then if you bought an Ebonite ball, they gave back the $8.

I'm afraid I can't help you on that one Joe, I was going representing my pro shop operator, so this one wasn't open to the public.  It is a great thing that they do, and I am always happy to go when my pro shop operator can't make it.
