I am also looking into buying a new ball. I have been looking into getting the Total NV, Angular or No Mercy. Waiting to get more imput on these balls before i make a decision.I am on a medium to heavy oil pattern and need a ball that can make it back to the pocket. Currently using infinate one and the one. Infinate one has died even after serveral rejuvs and resurfaces.Any imput would be appriecated

Poxy, i have both and like them a lot. the only thing is, that i have a different drilling in each one. the bw is a 90* layout with a 4 1/2"pin above fingers and this ball reads the midlanes great. i can either circle the pattern or can go down the boards to give it a little more pop in the back. the total nv has one of those trick layouts to where the ball really gets down lane and makes a strong roll(not flip)off the breakpoint. obviously if there is heavy oil, the total nv is probably going to go way too long for me. it really all depends on if you want a ball for medium/heavy or just medium. you can tweak the surface on each ball, but then if you put a surface on the total nv, you will be getting a ball that wants to read a little sooner. hope this helps.

BenDover, if you are looking for something to replace your infinite one, then i would probably go with a no mercy. i have never thrown one, but hear it is a decent ball. you can tweak the surface so that it can read either a little sooner or a little later. IMO, the angular one and total nv may go too long in the heavier patterns and such. good luck to the both of you...

I use the the Angular One and the No Mercy with the #1 drilling. My experience with the A-One at 2000 has been great med-heavy very predictable and great carry. This was my first week at 2000 and shot 795 my highest series to date. Even when the lanes dried I was able to keep this ball in play and continue to carry. Yes I did blow a 300 in the 11th of game 3.
The No Mercy has been a very good ball for me, however, it is extremely high maintain if the ball is not bathed each week the carry really suffers. I do bowl 3x's a week and this ball grimes up quickly, but when it's on it's great. This ball is in original finish and handles a good amount of oil but not as much as the Angular One at 2000.

Compared to my Black Widow - the Total NV covers about 6-7 boards more than the BW does. The ball is alot stronger than the Black Widow as my Widow I usually play straight up the boards with. The Total NV will start its roll sooner than the BW and get more Overall Hook throughout the lane.

The Total NV definatly has the more back end between the two. But if you are looking for something smoother, the Black Widow would be your ball.
